Details of the Pirouette
This video shows you the Hunter Douglas Pirouette Shade in action. The details of this shade’s operation are the EasyRise corded lift system. The pleat size is 5”. The mounting position is “inside mount”. The version is called “Room Darkening”. In the video I break down these options, but here I will give a few more facts about the Pirouette shades from Hunter Douglas.
I’ve expressed this before, but the Pirouette Shade is one of my favorite hybrid shades. It gives you the look of a roman shade as well as functioning as a louvered blind. It also has the ability to have a sheer view to the outside. This is a manual version of that window treatment. It comes in various mechanisms.
The above photo shows you the different choices. Two are motorized and two are manual. The most popular by far for our clients is the PowerView automation. Which one will be best for you? It depends on your needs and desires. We will help you make that choice.
Light Filtering vs. Room Darkening
One of the choices that needs to be made is whether to allow light to filter through the fabric. The video shows a room darkening version of the Pirouette Shade. The photo to the left shows you a more accurate concept of what the room darkening version does to the light that wants to come inside your room. As I mention in the video, the room darkening version blocks around 90% of the light.
Please note this important point. I just said that it allows about 10% of the light into the room. For many people this is perfect and for many others it is too much light. If you need it “Las Vegas Dark”, then this is not the right product for you.
In the video, I also mention that I will share some other videos that address other points.
