Every spring, my deliveries increase with new window treatment product from my suppliers. This year, I have received new product offerings from Hunter Douglas, Century Blinds, Horizon’s Window Fashions and Norman Window fashions, for a start. It’s not always brand new revolutionary products. Sometimes, it’s just a revamp. This year is along those lines. Take a peek at one of the updates. It is for the Hunter Douglas Duette and Applause shade lines.

New adjustments to Duette and Applause Shade

These changes are pretty subtle. Hunter Douglas sees a lot of competition for price on the lower end of their spectrum, so they’ve introduced a new lower cost product. It is called “Reception”. They’ve also expanded the pleat sizing on one of their most beautiful fabrics, “India Silk”. It now is offered in the more designer size, 1 1/4″. This will be very popular with my clientele. The other upgrades have to do with the Vertiglide system, which hasn’t been updated since 2004, and the introduction of a new motorized lift system.
