Angle Top windows can be a challenge to cover with window coverings. This job in Lake Tahoe, near Reno NV was more complicated due to various factors.
On this job, previous window coverings mounted below the angle top windows forced our hand. The client was not willing to remove the original roller shades, so we had to match the material that was already in the windows. This took a lot of work to find, since the pattern had been dropped by some of Kempler Design’s suppliers. Then we had to determine how to cover the angle top portion of the window.
Had we been able to pick a different type of window treatment, we could have had the window completely open. See an example here. But because we wanted a screen material in a roller style AND we wanted it motorized, there were fewer options. We chose a stationary panel of the same solar screen material. We all have different ideas as to what is best for our own windows. For this client, they are thrilled with the results. We love when we make our clients happy!
