Different Types Of Window Shadings
There are many different types of window shadings on the market in Reno and Lake Tahoe. I am being specific to the area, because different parts of the country have different needs from their window coverings. The name “window shadings” is very specific because our area has intense UV light and extremes in both heat and cold. So, these blinds and shades need to provide insulation as well as shading for the interior of your home.
For our blog today, we are writing about hybrid products. What does this mean? Just like a hybrid vehicle has two different functional methods of working, these shades perform different functions in the same window. Let me explain.
The above video shows the Norman Window Fashions Perfect Sheer Window Shadings.
When you look at the photos, you can see outside through the fabric. This fabric is actually a sheer weave that links the bands of heavier fabric together. But, when you watch the video, you will notice how this window shading allows you to have total privacy when desired.
One other great factor with hybrid products like these window shadings is that when you want a complete unobstructed view, you can raise the shade to the top and completely open up the window. Keep in mind that the material rolls up at the top and therefore you will have stacking there. It usually amounts to about 4”.
Why Is It Good For You?
Earlier, I mentioned that this was good for our area. Because you have the option of having a sheer as part of your window shadings, you can have greater insulation than with other products. You will also have great light control. Though this product doesn’t allow for a complete blackout, it is pretty dark. That factor, as well as others will be the focus of our conversation when we meet to talk about your window covering project.
