Hunter Douglas Applause Updates for 2023
One of the products that is being updated by Hunter Douglas in 2023 is the entire Honeycomb Shade product line. This video shows the office manager of Kempler Design, April Kempler, opening the new Applause samples box. The Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shades Sample Book and some of its fabrics are being updated as well. Those will be posted next week, on May 7th. Here are some details about the changes.

The biggest adjustment is that they are completely changing some of the lifting mechanisms due to their cooperating with a movement to maximize child safety. This is a big issue for 2023 and they are taking the lead in doing so. But as far as the Hunter Douglas Applause Honeycomb Shades are concerned, the changes are more about designs than about brand new functionality. As you will see in the video, they have new fabrics and also they have updated the color selections to allow for new trends to be covered for the next few years.
One of the things about the Hunter Douglas Applause shades is that they are a cellular or honeycomb shade, but the amount of insulation that they offer is significantly less than that of their premier fabric in the Duette line. It is called Architella. It offers special amounts of insulation due to its engineering. The reason that most people choose the Applause line is because it is a value product. The second reason that it is chosen is because some of the fabrics are more appealing to certain customers. The last, and technical reason that people choose the Hunter Douglas Applause shades is because of the fact that the fabric is lighter than the Duette Architella. This means that on really big shades, the motors can handle sizes that are larger than the Duette line. Those are the main reasons that our customers choose the Applause.
