French Door Blinds
This blog and video show a great option for window coverings for french doors. To be clear, they aren’t french door blinds. They are french door shades and more specifically, honeycomb or cellular shades. But people search for all kinds of names, so I figured I’d use the expression french door blinds. Let’s check out the video and see why I feel like this is a great option for many doors.
The depth of this product is very slim. This important for french door blinds or shades because sometimes there isn’t a lot of room for a thick product on the door. In this case, the issue we had was the angle of the wall didn’t allow for a product with extra girth. Sometimes the depth issue comes from having two doors where the hinge is in the middle of them. Therefore, when they open into each other, if you have a product that has a lot of depth, it will limit how much the doors will be open into each other.
Either way, these little details make a huge difference in how the product works for your French door window treatments.
Smart Fit on Doors
The Norman Window Fashions Portrait Honeycomb Shades with Smart Fit are a great choice for french door blinds. OK, I admit it, they are really french door window shades, but either way, here is why they are good for your doors. Both the top of the shade and the bottom are attached to the door. So, when you open or close the door, the shades don’t flip and flop. They are stable and secure. One more thing that is great about this product is that it comes automatically in top down/bottom up which help your room have more privacy. There are other things that are relevant to your choices, but they are important to discuss with you about your personal french doors. So, give us a holler when you want to talk about your french door blinds or other products. Thanks for reading our blog.
