Motorized Shutters
Sometimes you need motorized shutters. In this case, the Reno client wanted their shutters over a bathtub. This makes it hard to reach. This is one such place that will make you desire something easy to use. Other common locations for motorized shutters are over a deep counter, in a stairwell or windows that are too high to reach.
This is a very simple blog post. Once you watch the video, what more is there to say? If you like the look of shutters, but want motorization, then motorized shutters might be a good choice for you.
Companies that Make Motorized Shutters
There are two companies that we work with for motorized shutters. One is the one you see in this video, Norman Window Fashions. The other is Hunter Douglas. The shutters in this blog post are real stained wood. This is because Norman Shutters is the only one of these two companies that offer motorization for all their wood and composite shutter lines. Hunter Douglas as of October 2018 only has motorized shutters on their Palm Beach Vinyl Shutter line.
One dramatic difference between these companies is the remote control. Whereas the Hunter Douglas PowerView remote control is able to work with their entire product line, the Norman Window Fashions remote control only works with their shutter line. If you wanted any other motorization with Norman, you will have a different remote control for the other window treatments.
