With some window treatments, it makes sense to stop a shade or blind at one particular spot for a variety of reasons. With some motorization applications you have to hit the “stop” button to get the shade or blind to stop where you want it to. Imagine doing this for side by side shades. They rarely, if ever, line up. Motors tend to move at different speeds so each shade tends to stop at a different location when the stop button is is applied to multiple shades operating at once. Enter the favorites position on the Hunter Douglas PowerView remote control. It is the button with the heart on it. By programming this button for your window covering, you can make the shade or blind go directly to the position that best suits your needs.
In the attached video, you can see how this client wished to hide the battery pack from view. By setting the PowerView favorite position a couple of inches below the headrail, they are able to get the look they want. Favorites positions can be chosen for a variety of reasons. Especially when a client has top down/bottom up shades,
the PowerView favorites position is invaluable. When someone presses any button on a remote control, the shade will always go to its full position, whether open or closed. By programming a top down shade to stop in the perfect position by use of the favorites button, you get the perfect look and function of your shades every time.
