How easy is it to use Hunter Douglas Designer Roller Shades with PowerView? Watch the embedded video in this blog to see. You will clearly see how the roller shades work in a home near Reno NV.
You may have noticed how the remote control has 6 group buttons but the homeowner has 7 shades. So, a choice had to be made. Which shades will be controlled via a group instead of individual control? In this case, they chose to group together the 2 shades on the far left. But what if they needed individual control?
The solution at that point would require some choices. Clearly, they can add a remote control to add more channels, but that seems clumsy to me. My suggestion would be to add the Hunter Douglas PowerView Hub.
The Hunter Douglas PowerView Hub is a wifi based add-on. By plugging it in to your router, you are able to use your Android or iOS devices to have almost unlimited control. Now you’d be able to group the shades in ANY configuration based on your needs. Do you want odd numbered shades to work together and go 2/3rds of the way up? Easy-peazy. Do you want to put them on a timer to make sun protection a breeze. Just set up the schedule to do just that.
The Hunter Douglas Hub allows for so many choices. As always, in order to best design your personal motorization system, you should deal with a window fashion expert. If you would like to have us look at your project, please give us a shout.
