Many people call Kempler Design for specialty windows like the one seen above. Even if they are a DIYer (do it yourselfer), this type of window usually calls for a specialist. This particular window posed many challenges.

Challenges:

  • Angle Top
  • Cathedral Top – two angles come together at any point that is not at the far left or right edge
  • The widths of the panels were not even – the width of the right panel was only 30″, and the other two were 36″
  • Combination of inside and outside mount
  • Ceiling was significantly out of square

The client is very happy with the solution we provided for them. They are able to watch TV without glare and the heat in the room has been significantly cut since the installation of the shutters.

Custom windows require custom solutions. I get asked all the time, “how much for a standard sized window?” From my viewpoint, there is no such thing. The same thought process that went into choosing this window covering should go into every window, regardless of how simple it appears to be.
