Hybrid- Pirouette Shade by Hunter Douglas
The Hunter Douglas Pirouette Shade gives you the option of having either light-filtering or room darkening shades with a built-in sheer layer. The primary reason that we shot this video and blog post is because I wanted to show all the layers that are involved. There are so many details that went into the choices that we made for this Somersett client in the Toll Brothers community, The Cliffs. I will be happy to discuss all of the choices we made. I think I might do a vlog where I talk about it all. For now, let’s talk about the main points.
Before you watch the video, I suggest looking at the pictures that I am posting to see the accurate lighting. Of course, I will be using the photos directly from Hunter Douglas when they promote their Pirouette Shades online. Here are a couple:
Pictures of the Pirouette Shades
The pictures that are shown here are fairly accurate, but I caution you to be careful about the Hunter Douglas picture showing the room darkening version. If you look at the picture, you will not see ANY light coming around the edges.
When you watch the video that I shot, you will see a TON of light coming into the room. Please understand that my camera picks up all the light and makes it look more bright than it is.
If I had to give a realistic guess as to how much light the Pirouette Shade in the room darkening version blocks, I’d say about 85% typically. This particular job was closer to 70%.
Video Shows the Cornice Box Too
Please notice the changes in the video. First, we look at the window we are covering. Then we install the Pirouette Shade over the top of all of the windows and finally we added the cornice boxes. Just look at the huge transformation of the addition of each product to the windows.
I love this overall look, but more importantly, the clients love it. Please watch the video to see if you like it too.
If you would like to work with us, please reach out to us and we will provide you this same level of service. Thanks for reading and watching our work.
