A Better Idea for Your Hunter Douglas PowerView Shades
Literally every single one of our clients who have purchased motorized shades from us in recent history have chosen to order the Lithium Ion Hunter Douglas rechargeable battery packs instead of the option of a 12 AA battery pack that is the “standard”. But what if you didn’t make that choice, or you ordered your window treatments before the Li-Ion system was available? You can change the standard batteries to the rechargeable version!! Please watch the video to see how to do it.
Why You Should Consider Switching to Hunter Douglas Rechargeable Batteries
There are so many reasons that Lithium Ion batteries are a better choice than standard alkaline batteries. Here are a few for you to consider.
They are so much easier to deal with. Rechargeable batteries are a lifetime product. You will never have to take down the battery packs like you see in the picture of the video above. Unfortunately, those standard battery packs have a few weaknesses. One is that they can break, causing the connection to not be there. Another is that if one battery corrodes, it can destroy the whole battery pack. Whereas the rechargeable version only requires that it be charged. Much more simple.
Another factor is that if you are concerned about the ecological results of throwing batteries away the new version is a smarter and more dignified choice. Yes, you should recycle your alkaline batteries that are exhausted, but most people don’t and it will have a major impact on the health of our planet.
One of the factors that I like is that the simplicity of either just plugging in the charger to the Li-ion system or exchanging the battery pack from the holder is so much easier than changing 12 AA batteries. Here are a couple of links showing you how this process works.
