This blog shows the combination of two trends in the Reno and Lake Tahoe areas in the field of window coverings and blinds. We are showing the Hunter Douglas Designer Roller Shades and we are showing them done in the Power Rise motorized system.

Currently, more and more people are choosing to motorize their blinds and shades. The technology cost a bit more, but my clients are finding that they want it. They like the convenience, the “cool factor” and ease of use.

Most manufacturers are offering options, but I tend to be a fan of the Hunter Douglas version, primarily because of the Hunter Douglas Platinum App, which is available in the Apple app store and very soon will be available in Android Play as well.

Roller shades are also very popular. People tend to like the textures, the opacity choices and the clean lines that they provide.
