They are constantly coming up with new ways to remove cords from your blinds, shades and other window coverings. In this blog, we are introducing a new low cost cordless window shade from the world leader in window coverings, Hunter Douglas. It is called Simple Lift and it is available on the value-line product, Applause® Honeycomb Shades.

This cordless system puts the mechanism in the bottom rail as opposed to the typical way of doing it in the headrail. There is no upcharge whatsoever. The cost of the shade includes a standard cordlock system or this new Simple Lift system. Because of the characteristics of the mechanism, there are size restrictions. The maximum width for this system is 84 inches. Because most of the homes in the Reno area have at least one window wider than that, caution must be applied to ensure continuity of your window coverings. The maximum height for this product is 78 inches. That would limit most sliding patio doors as well. So, as you can see there are some restrictions, but if your home can accommodate this product, you should consider it, because it offers a fantastic value.
