One of the most challenging windows to do blinds or shades on is a specialty shaped window. This would include angle tops, arches and other odd shapes. Usually, it is possible to cover the window, but you usually lose the function of the window covering. So, in a case like the one in the video, we installed a movable roller shade and put an arched bottom valance over the top of it. We could have used any type of window covering here, whether it be blinds, shades, or even shutters. The softness of the valance mounted over the top really changes the feel of the room and maintains the original shape that the window had before we mounted the operable window covering.
