Do You Have Angled Windows?
If so, choosing the right product for them can be stressful. We get a few calls a week based on the videos that we do on angle top window coverings. The one choice that is super popular is the honeycomb shade that is cut to the shape of the window and goes up and down completely. The one caveat to this is the cost. Certain people are put off by the pricing of this type of shade system. This is where they consider different options. Take a look at this one!
Shutters For Angled Window
We’ve done a lot of videos on angle top shutters because we do a lot of them for our clients. There are certain aspects of these shutters that they love. The primary reason for this is that they are very functional, but also very reasonable in pricing. The louvers open and close beautifully, giving you the option of having light control or a nice view to the outside. Cost wise, they are a great value for what they do. It is not at all uncommon for the pricing to be about 1/2 of the cost of the other types of angled window treatments, like these: ( See Photo)
There are some limitations that shutters have though, and I think it is important that you reflect on it before purchasing yours. Shutters like these are designed to stay covering the window pretty much all the time. You can open the louvers all you want, but you will be losing a percentage of the light and the view.
Another factor you need to consider is whether you’d want them to be motorized or not. It is a great feature, but be aware that now you are making the cost go up due to the extra technology. Is it worth it? That depends on you. This client was content using the “Wand” to adjust their shutters. Lots of choices to be made. Would you like us to assist you with your project? If so, please reach out. Thanks for reading our blog.
