When it comes to window coverings, sometimes you need quiet motorized roller shades. For example, today we are looking at a master bedroom. Under most situations, you want peace in a bedroom. You don’t want to be awakened by loud or obnoxious noises. Especially if they are self-induced, like from window coverings that you installed.
Why are we even talking about quiet motorized roller shades? Because some of the options that are on the market are NOT quiet. There are some shade options that are very hard to have in a quiet place. I’ve had old versions of automated shades in my own bedroom and they drove me crazy. I do admit though that I like serenity in my sleeping quarters! Please watch the attached video and see how these Hunter Douglas Designer Rollers really are quet motorized roller shades.
Improvements in Motors
Over the years, the volume of motors has come down overall. But, please deal with a professional because they are not even close to the same in terms of volume. Sometimes the header or cassette that the shade is mounted into can accentuate or increase the volume of the shade motor. I’ve done the same shades, some with cassettes and some without. You wouldn’t believe the difference in the volume. Companies like ours can help you pick the right type of quiet motorized roller shades.
