Sometimes Hunter Douglas Blinds offer features that you can’t get from other companies. This is such a case. Modern Precious Metals® Aluminum Blinds from Hunter Douglas offer a great feature called 2″ Reveal with MagnaView. Check it out in the video below.
This feature is currently only available with Hunter Douglas Blinds. Here is how it works. When the blind is in the privacy position, or tilted closed, it is essentially a normal 2″ metal blind. But, when the Hunter Douglas blinds are put into the view-through position they change dramatically. Typically, a 2″ slatted blind has a gap of around 2″ between slats. But the Reveal with MagnaView changes that gap to 4 inches or so. That is because the mechanism pulls every two slats together.
Rather than getting too technical, I’d suggest you watch the video again. But, let’s talk pricing. As with anything different and more designer oriented, it tends to cost a bit more. For example, standard 2″ Hunter Douglas Blinds retail at $325 for a window at 60″ x 60″. The same sized window with the Reveal with MagnaView feature retails for $409. This would make the traditional version about 20% less than the specialty version. Keep in mind that these are retail prices. Your discounts will vary based on current promotions and the dealer you use.
