Roman shades solar screens are a good way to get a more designer look from a functional window treatment. So many people choose the roller shade variety of screen shade. Our clients like having the option of something different. The roman shades add that extra interest that they are looking for.

The functionality is a little different. For example, with a roller shade, the solar screen material is completely flat. This allows for a pretty much flawless view through the shade. When the screen material is made into a roman shade, the pleats become part of the interest.

Also, because roman shades fold up to the top of the window, the stack is larger. A roman shade style will have a stack of anywhere from 8 to 12 inches. A roller shade style will roll up to about 3 to 4 inches, depending on the height of the window.
