How to take down a Hunter Douglas Duette Shade with the most recent Headrail
This video shows you the simple method of removing Duette Shades
Kempler Design in Reno NV shows you one of their current jobs. Many times, we go to install a new window treatment and we notice that the old window coverings have been painted around, instead of removed and painted completely.
This can cause some problems when the new product goes in. It is our suggestion that you completely take down the existing window treatments, like these Duette shades, including the brackets and reinstall them after the paint is cured. This will keep you from getting paint on your blinds, shades, shutters or draperies. This is one of the reasons that we typically use screws instead of nails when putting in custom shutters. If they are nailed in, it is much harder to remove them if necessary.
