Just because I specialize in drapery treatments doesn’t mean that I put drapes everywhere that a vertical application raises its head. In this case, we are dealing with a commercial storefront. Natural woven materials like wood, grasscloths and twigs are much lower maintenance than fabrics for this application. The edge of the panels is made of a solid piece of wood. Imagine the difference a couple of years from now on the edge of the material between this wood piece and a fabric which has been grabbed at the same location. Can you say dry cleaning bills? The stack is smaller than draperies of the same width in a typical fullness. The “Lines” are cleaner, a design issue. The cost is lower. The look is trendier. The use is simple.
